A truly special antique petticoat with remarkable provenance — this piece was formerly part of a museum collection and retains its original museum tag, which has been carefully sewn to the outside of the garment during restoration (it was originally housed in the reworked waistband).
The petticoat is constructed in fine white cotton with a tiered silhouette, delicate lace insertion bands at the lower tiers, and a gathered ruffle hem. The waistband has been thoughtfully reworked using a complementary vintage fabric, preserving the integrity of the piece while making it wearable. A pale blue lace trim finishes the waistband beautifully.
